Searching Middlesex County Court Records Online

The main tool for searching Middlesex court records online is MassCourts, the statewide case management portal maintained by the Massachusetts Trial Court. You can search by party name, case number, case type, or citation. The system is free and available around the clock. One thing to know: name searches for criminal cases are not available through MassCourts. If you need to look up a criminal matter, you will have to go in person or send a written request to the clerk's office.

Document images are usually not available online, so if you need copies of filed documents, you will need to contact the clerk's office directly or visit in person.

Public access terminals are available at each courthouse during business hours. These terminals allow you to search cases and view some document information at no cost. This is a useful option if you need to look up records and do not want to use the web portal.

Note: MassCourts searches for civil cases allow searches going back 30 days by case type, but name-based searches cover older records as well.
